Workshops & courses
We are sometimes asked to help others to make their own films, teaching them how to use and position a camera, conduct interviews and put together a narrative.
Following a successful half term workshop entitled "Film in a Day", Barnardos asked us to run further workshops as part of their "Transitions work" with students moving up to Ryde high school.
Wootton Primary School invited us in as part of their "University Fridays" programme. We worked with small groups of children, drawing storyboards and filming around their school.
St Saviour's School in Freshwater ran a weekly course for staff and volunteers who wanted to learn the basics of film making and recorded their school's participation in the Global Rock event.

Medina School produced a dvd about careers in historical setting. We worked in collaboration with students, the school careers' department, Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House among others.

Recording the work of a WEA course run by artist, Gail Wright at East Cowes Town Hall.
Northwood Primary wanted to record their family learning week, so we went in and filmed a number of activities and exciting events happening with staff, volunteers, visitors, families and children at the school.
Working in conjunction with a number of schools, I helped to produce a film about The New Curriculum and Learning Styles. for the Head Teachers' conference at Cowes Yacht Haven.

Sometimes you want others to see the good work that is being done by your organisation
Medina Housing Association asked us to record the work they were doing on their Growing Spaces Project. The first film we made was then shown at conference and they won a prize for their work. The project went on to receive further funding and helped even more people to grow their own produce.
We followed Spectrum Housing Association's environmental project Natural Wight over a three year period, producing two films as part of their evaluation process.
St George's School in Shide took part in a large project working with artists on the topic of change. We went in to record what was going on and to capture the reactions of students, staff and others at the school.
Spaccachip a workshop run by Italian jewellery designer, Paola Mirai. Filmed in Milan, edited in Ryde.
Together with Bruce Webb, we worked with the Gifted & Talented unit, running workshops and recording those put on by other professionals such as the author, Joe Craig.
